Cross Roads sits where US-377 meets US-380. From Aubrey it’s straight down 377 through Krugerville. Providence Village, Paloma Creek, and Savannah run east along 380, and Oak Point is south of it, on the northeast shore of Lewisville Lake.
Being this close matters after a storm. We’re a short drive away, not a crew passing through from out of town, and we’re easy to reach if anything needs a second look later.

Providence Village & Savannah
Age
Providence Village was started in 2000, with building running into the early 2010s. Savannah broke ground in 2004 and sold its last lots in 2018. So the oldest original roofs in Providence Village are past 20 years, and even Savannah’s newest have seen several hail seasons.
HOA color rules
Providence Village: Providence HOA’s architectural review committee reviews shingle color changes. Its 2026 checklist has a roof replacement application asking for front photos of your house and the neighbors’, a link to the shingle you picked, and a Town of Providence Village permit. Its documents allow 30 to 60 days for review.
Savannah: the Savannah Community Association’s Architectural Standards Committee approves shingle colors before installation and can make an owner remove shingles put on without approval. Its design guidelines call for shingles with at least a 30-year life and rule out thin shingles under 240 pounds.
We’ll give you the shingle name, color, and spec sheet to attach to your application, and you can preview colors on a photo of your own house with IKO’s ROOFViewer (opens IKO’s site).
Common issues
Class 4 shingles are allowed even in an HOA if they look like the approved ones (Texas Property Code §202.011).

Storm check
On June 2 the National Weather Service logged egg-size hail (2 inches) near The Colony, about 10 miles south of Providence Village and 10 from Cross Roads. It logged no hail in these towns that day.
That’s not the same as “no hail fell.” Reports only come from where someone saw it and phoned it in, and hail falls in streaks. Earlier, on May 19, nickel-size hail was reported a mile north of Aubrey. If a storm came through your street, check a few things from the ground.

Generally no. Texas Property Code §202.011 says an HOA can’t prohibit wind- or hail-resistant shingles that resemble the shingles it allows, are equal or better in quality, and match the look of the neighborhood. The HOA can still weigh in on color.
